The idea for my99dresses.com began in May 2007, when my step- daughter went from eighth grade graduation to suddenly going to high school dances. While trying to keep up with her desire to have a new dress for each special occasion, it dawned on me that every other girl out there was in the same situation; I mean you can’t wear the same dress twice, can you? Every parent was in my shoes; going nuts trying to figure out how we were going to pay for all these dresses!! Swapping dresses with friends only works if everyone is the same size… and they return them in the same condition.

That’s when I came up with the idea for an online consignment store for special occasion dresses. I wanted to create a safe and fun place to sell the dress you wore once and buy a new one for your next special occasion. I ran it by my friend one evening and she and I decided to join forces and here we are now!

I (Aimey) have 16 years experience in the insurance industry, managing other people’s risks, specializing in business insurance, and owning my own agency. I threw caution to the wind, closed the agency and jumped right into this new venture. My partner, Terry, has 20 years in tax accounting and is THE networking guru! We are having fun enjoying this new and exciting business!
